Admissions
To be admitted into this distance learning program of Jones International University, students are required to submit an application, with its applicable fee of $60, as well as evidence of prior educational experience through the use of a transcript from an accredited institution. The transcript must have an earned high school diploma with a GPA of 2.0 or higher; an official GED transcript or equivalent; attestation of high school completion or GED completion and passing score on JIU’e online assessment exam; or 9 credit hours with a GPA of 2.0 or more from a college or university that is recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education and an attestation of high school completion or GED equivalent. There are other requirements that are necessary to enroll in a master's program which can be requested directly from the university.
The University does allow the transfer of up to 90 credit hours of C or higher coursework that has been earned at other college and universities that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Credits can also be transferred for DANTES tests, advanced placement credits and CLEP.
Tuition and Financial Aid
The tuition that is required to enroll in an online accredited degree program is approximately $1,425 per three-credit hour course with applicable fees that include a technology fee of $65, graduation fee of $100, Credit for Prior Learning Approval $140, and many more. The school has a financial aid department that can assist a student with the completion and filing of paper to find out what type of student aid is available for their online education. These forms include the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
