Strayer University was founded in 1892 and is currently a for-profit educational institution that is located in Arlington, Virginia. The university is owned by Strayer Education Inc, which is a public traded company on NASDAQ.
Strayer has over 44,000 students that are enrolled in the online campus, as well as 70 on-site campuses that are located in 15 states. Accreditation
Strayer University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, which is an agency that is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Admissions
To enroll in an online degree prorgram, students will need to complete the application, submit the application fee, and provide documentation of prior education experience from an accredited educational institution. Other requirements include a GPA of 2.75 or higher and an interview with a dean.
Strayer does allow credits to be transferred from other educational institutions, as well as experience gained in a profession, military experience, professional development such a licenses and training, and experiential learning assessment programs that evaluate what you already know. Tuition and Financial Aid
The tuition fees for an online degree program at Strayer University start out at $1590 per course for part-time students, $1515 for full-time students and $2050 for graduate level students. There is an application fee of $50 that is valid for one year. There are additional fees and expenses that include $250 per course for textbooks and course materials, as well as other fees such as lab fees that depend on the type of degree program.
Students can complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form to see what type of federal student aid is available to them.
