The University of the Rockies was created in 1998 as a for-profit university and is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This post-graduate educational institution is owned by Bridgepoint Education, Inc, which is a California-based company that operates for-profit education institutions. The school was formerly known as the Colorado School of Professional Psychology. This name was changed in 2007, when the current parent company purchased the school.
Programs

Admissions
Students looking to enroll at this distance learning university are required to complete the application and remit the associated fee of $50, as well as an official transcript that details your previous educational experience and official copies of the TOEFL language exam if English is not the first language.
The University of the Rockies can also transfer credits from previous educational institutions. The grade level attained for those credits need to have a grade of B or higher and the University reserves the ultimate right to determine the relevancy of the credit and whether they are going to allow its transfer.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Students who are enrolling at this University to earn an accredited degree online will have tuition fees that vary depending on the degree program that is chosen. These tuition costs are between $640 and $840 per credit hour, with additional fee that include and application fee of $50, a technology fee of $250, a comprehensive fee of $100, an assessment fee of $50 and a graduation fee of either $250 or $500.
The University of the Rockies has a financial aid department that can assist any student with the completion of any student loan paperwork, such as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form to see what kind of financial aid is available for an online degree program. The types of aid that is available to students are Federal Stafford loans, PLUS loans, veteran’s educational benefits, military tuition assistance, employer reimbursement and private loans.
