Utica College - Online Degree Programs

Overview
Utica College was founded in 1946 as a private educational institution that is located in Utica, New York. The college was formed by Syracuse University to offer extension classes. In 1995, Utica College became independent of Syracuse financially and legally. The college offers online bachelors degree, online master degrees and online doctorate degrees in a variety of subjects.
Programs
The fields of study of study that are available for bachelor, master and doctorate degrees include cyber security, economic crime investigation, fraud management, professional accountancy, criminal justice administration, nursing, transitional doctor of physical therapy, health care administration and occupational therapy. In addition to the online degree programs, the College offers certificates in areas that include financial crimes investigator and gerontology.

This online continuing education institution is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, which is a recognized agency by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation.

Admissions
To enroll at this online college degree program students are required to complete an application, submit the application fee of $50 and submit it to the college for processing. Students will also need to submit a detailed history of the prior educational experience they have received. The College does allow students to transfer credits to the online degree program of interest as long as the credits were earned from a regionally accredited educational institution and a grade of C or better was achieved. The final determination of transferability lies with the College. The maximum amount of credits that can be transferred depends on the type of online accredited degrees program being pursued.
Tuition and Financial Aid
The tuition that is charged by this online continuing education institution starts out at $305 per credit hour for online bachelor degree programs and $615 per credit hour for online graduate degree. There are additional fees and expenses that are charged by the College that include graduation fees of $55 or $80, a distance learning fee of $60 per course, a technology fee of either $50 or $100 depending on course load, and a laboratory fee of $50.
The Student Financial Services department at Utica College is happy to assist any student in the preparation of financial aid forms such as the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. When these forms are complete, students can submit them to see what type of financial aid is available to them. In addition to financial aid, the College has several scholarships and grants that students can apply for. These types of aids allow a student to pursue an online degree.
